Stage Three Learn to swim scheme - mainly taught at Carr Junior School some classes at The Mount and St Peters.
The stamina of the stroke will be worked on when a basic stroke is achieved (without aids!).

At the same time a high level of co-ordination is still needed.

When good co-ordination has been achieved, for breast stroke, back stroke and front crawl over the distance of 10m without
out aids; the child will move to the next level.

If you continue swimming at the same time as lessons, confidence grows and swimming will become enjoyable and more relaxed. Children then achieve more!
